Efficient binary field arithmetic and applications to curve-based cryptography

Survey of state-of-the-art techniques for implementing binary field arithmetic in modern processors equipped with vector instruction sets. Both algorithms and working code will be presented through acceleration of the RELIC cryptographic toolkit. Performance will be illustrated by pairing computation and scalar multiplication in elliptic curves, two fundamental operations for deploying efficient curve-based cryptography.
